Work activities

Theatre is not an unfamiliar place for Height Specialists; for years we accompanied the flight movements of the musical Tarzan in the Netherlands and Germany. Therefore, we know the great importance of working safely on stage.

Our expert trainer supervised a group of employees of Stage Entertainment, who work behind the scenes at the musical The Lion King. The light and sound technicians normally work in the roof during the show. If they cannot leave their workplace in the normal way, an emergency evacuation plan comes into effect. Our trainer went through this plan with them and practiced different situations that could occur in practice.

In addition, outside the shows, periodic inspections must be carried out at different places in the theatre. In order to be able to inspect those – often difficult to reach – workplaces, these employees also received a Working at Height training, supplemented with a module Rescue at Height. They now are able and know how to save their colleagues from the workplace in case of an emergency.
