Why take a working at height training?

Is your workplace at height and do you have to protect yourself against the additional dangers? Do you want to know everything there is to know to be able to do this in a safe way? Participate in our IRATA training! During this training you will gain insight into all possible dangers and risks of working at height. In addition, you will learn how to act in unexpected situations and how to use personal protective equipment correctly.

It is important to always work with at least two people at a height. In case of danger, a rescue can be carried out. That’s why, in addition to working at heights, we also offer rescue training at heights.

Which parts are covered during a working at height training?

A working at height training consists of two parts. With working at height 1 you get the basic knowledge about working safely at height. During working at height 2, you will also learn how to inspect personal fall protection equipment and how to translate a RI&E into practice. Both courses do not require prior training.

During the training you will learn the theoretical and practical side of working at height.

Theory:

  • Recognition of the risks of working at height.
  • Knowledge of legislation and regulations.
  • Gaining insight into various fall protection techniques and materials.
  • Inspecting personal fall protection equipment (level 2)

Practice:

  • Recognition of unsafe situations.
  • Application of different techniques.
  • Learn to use different fall protection materials.
  • Ability to translate an RI&E into practice (level 2).

The two training levels are independent of each other. It is therefore not necessary to take level 1 before you can take level 2. It is important that you make a choice that best suits your situation.

Which parts are covered during a rescue at height training?

In order to follow a rescue at height training it is necessary to first successfully complete a training at height (1 or 2). You need to prove this with a certificate that is not older than one year before you participate in the rescue at height training.

During the training you will learn the theoretical and practical side of rescue at height.

Theory:

  • Knowledge of the laws and regulations
  • Insight into different techniques and materials
  • Preparation of a rescue plan
  • Drawing up an RI&E (Risk Inventory and Evaluation)
  • What to do after the rescue

Practice:

  • Application of different techniques
  • Application of a rescue plan
  • Various practical exercises for rescue at height in different configurations

When is there a working at height training?

The working at height training can be followed monthly. Check out our training schedule, select a training and apply directly.

How long does a working at height training take?

The duration depends on the type of training. A working at height training 1 lasts half a day and continues at a minimum of 3 registrations. A working at height 2 and a rescue at height training both take a whole day and continues at a minimum of 2 registrations.

What are the costs of working at height training?

The working at height training 1 is 155,00 excluding VAT. The working at height training 2 and the rescues at height are each 299,00 excluding VAT. These prices include climbing equipment and insurances.

Do I get a certificate for completing the working at height training?

If you have successfully completed the training, you will receive a certificate from Height Specialists. This certificate is valid for two years.

Why is a working at height training important for my staff?

The law requires that staff be properly trained before they start working at heights. After all, you want to prevent your staff from being put at risk. If something goes wrong during the work at height, there is a good chance that you will be checked. It is then important that you as a company can prove that you have taken all measures to be able to work safely at height.

We offer training courses to teach groups how to work at heights safely.
Do you, as a company, have a specific situation for which your staff must be trained? We also customize a working at height training for you, specific to your situation. In consultation with you, we will prepare a complete training course after which the staff can work at height safely.

When the training has been successfully completed, the participants receive a certificate from Height Specialists. This certificate is valid for two years.

I can not train on the scheduled dates, are there any other possibilities?

You may not be able to attend a training course on the regular dates, we also offer the possibility of attending a working at height training course on a different date. Please contact us for more information.
